‘Ted Lasso’, one of Apple TV+’s biggest comedy series, tells the story of a geeky and eccentric American Football coach who is brought in to train the fictional AFC Richmond by its vindictive owner, who wants to destroy the club because her cheating husband adores it. The show has been going since 2020, and now fans can visit its infamous Crown and Anchor pub in Richmond. Well, kind of.
The pub is actually called The Prince’s Head and, although it was only used for filming exterior shots, it’s capitalising on its association with the programme by showcasing some cool ‘Ted Lasso’ paraphernalia, including the iconic AFC Richmond football kit that’s heavily featured in the series.
Some devotees have even gone on ‘Ted Lasso’ tours around Richmond, where the majority of the show is set and filmed, visiting the locations where the characters live and go about their daily lives.
Fans keen to get some ‘Lasso’ into their virtual lives can check out the multiple Twitter accounts set up for the characters and even AFC Richmond.
Wondering why you should make the effort to go to Richmond? Well now you have it: a semi-fictional pub and what was it? Oh yes, a massive national nature reserve by the River Thames.
The house from ‘The Girl Before’ is in London. But can you visit it?
