You can get free cheesy fries on Good Friday

The Easter weekend is shaping up to be a good opportunity to eat cheap food. 

There’s £1 pizza in Battersea on Easter Monday and, before that, Poptata – a street food stall that has nothing but fries on the menu – is giving away freebies on Good Friday (March 30) at Boxpark Shoreditch. There are 180 serves of parmesan fries topped with pink garlic mayo on offer plus 20 lots of halloumi fries.

The free fries are available on a first-come-first-served basis, with one portion per person from 11.30am to 12.30pm. We predict a queue. 

Poptata is at Boxpark Shoreditch, 2-10 Bethnal Green Rd, E1 6GY. Get your free fries on Friday March 30 11.30am-12.30pm.
