For Londoners, late night dining is a rare occurrence. Unlike the streets of Paris and boulevards of Barcelona, where restaurants are as busy as ever post-9pm, London’s eateries are largely emptied and its kitchens are closed well before bedtime.

But one restaurant mogul is saying: no more! Why shouldn’t London enjoy the same dining after dark vibes as our continental neighbours?

To persuade Londoners to eat out later, Jeremy King (the guy behind The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zédel) has introduced a ‘night owls’ discount at two of his restaurants: Arlington in Mayfair and The Park in Queensway. Both restaurants launched last year, with Arlington replacing celeb favourite, Le Caprice. Arlington was also added to the Michelin Guide earlier this year.

If you book a table at The Park from 9.15pm or at the Arlington from 9.45pm (9pm on Sundays), you’ll get to eat for 25 percent less. The discount will run until December 30, 2025.

In his newsletter, King wrote: ‘What has become apparent to me is that Londoners are eating earlier and earlier and becoming strangers to the joy and fun of late night dining.

‘I am determined to capture back the night and encourage people to re-acquaint themselves with sitting down to dinner after 9pm.’
