There’s something deeply comforting about snuggling up, all warm and toasty, while the weather rages outside your window. But what happens if you’re altogether closer to the eye of the storm?

It’s a question that Kraken rum will be answering with its new pop-up: a drinking and dining experience that puts you in the heart of some very extreme weather (don’t worry, you’ll still keep dry), while you chow down on your dinner.

Taking place in Covent Garden on July 12 and 13, you can try an array of cocktails – including, natch, Kraken’s new Perfect Storm – and an all-black fine-dining menu featuring lots of squid ink, while more than 1,000 litres of real rainfall, plus thunder effects and howling wind beat down around you.

It might not be the most peaceful meal you’ve ever eaten, but it’s sure to be a wet ’n’ wild affair.

Tickets for the event are priced at £25 plus booking fees. Grab them here.
