Artist Jeremy Deller (not pictured above), winner of the 2004 Turner Prize, has made 2000 original printed posters describing how people can delete their Facebook accounts. Titled ‘How to leave Facebook’, the pink-backed posters are being distributed outside Facebook’s UK base in Rathbone Place, along with Euston station and Liverpool Lime Street.

It’s not the first time Deller has used the humble poster to make a political point. During the 2017 elections, the artist was behind eye-catching posters printed with the slogan ‘Strong and stable my arse’, spotted in public places across London.

This latest poster campaign takes place on the same day - March 21 - that Sandy Parakilas gives evidence to the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee based on his time working for Facebook as a platform operations manager.
