This summer, Time Out Live is launching Movies on the River with City Cruises – an exciting addition to London's pop-up cinema scene and a unique chance for Londoners to watch movies on the top deck of a boat as it cruises along the River Thames.

For five nights a week, starting with a launch-night screening of ‘Jaws’ on Thursday June 15, Londoners will be able to enjoy a sunset cruise along the river before settling down for a movie on the top deck of the sleek cruise boat City Alpha once the sun goes down.

Each night, the Movies on the River boat will board by Tower of London for a sunset cruise through Tower Bridge and east towards Isle of Dogs and Greenwich. After dark, we'll play a movie on a big screen on the open-air deck of the Alpha. The boat will continue to glide past the city as the film screens.

Movies will include London-themed favourites including ‘Mary Poppins’ and ‘Notting Hill’, watery classics including ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’ (and, of course, ‘Jaws’!) and much-loved romantic favourites old and new, including ‘When Harry Met Sally’ and ‘La La Land’.

On board will be a bar fully stocked with drinks and snacks so you can truly make this a night to remember.

Explore the full line-up and buy tickets for Movies on the River.

Tickets for Time Out Live presents Movies on the River with City Cruises are on sale now and start at £29 – which includes the sunset cruise on the Thames and the open-air movie screening.

Each night the boat boards at Tower Pier at 8pm. The movie starts at 9pm. The boat returns to Tower Pier when the movie ends (approx 11pm).
