While a lady never reveals her age, we’re not feeling so coy. Time Out is turning 50, and to celebrate, we’re prepping the ultimate party in Granary Square.
We can now reveal some awesome acts included in the ticket price that will make Time Out 50 a solid-gold celebration. On our Canal Stage (yes, a stage bobbing on the Regent’s Canal!) you’ll find east London party collective The Glory, bringing you lip-sync realness, plus a special performance from inimitable drag star Jonny Woo.
In the main square, the Southbank Centre will be showcasing hot choreographer Holly Blakey, with a specially curated performance. You’ll find feminist wrestling group EVE flexing their muscles in the ring while London’s coolest choir Some Voices will be flexing their vocal chords, revamping hits by frequent Time Out cover star and much-missed Londoner David Bowie.
Enjoy the best views of the party from Red Bull’s Deck 87 while enjoying a complimentary mocktail, which comes complete with a can you can Shazam to gain access to even more awesome events in London. And check out the bombastic Bacardi Rum Truck, where you can sample three fresh spins on the mojito, served up in partnership with one of London’s best rum bars.
For an epic party piece, food players Bompas & Parr and pioneers of the gin boom Sipsmith will be creating the world’s largest gin cloud (we’re tipsy just thinking about it). And speaking of Sipsmith, they’ll be serving up a complimentary ginny tipple for each partygoer. All that alongside the capital’s best cocktail bars, and a street food line-up curated by our Food editor and brought to you by Kerb. Time to pick out a rockin’ frock.
