1. The Ministry of Defence’s UFO Desk ran for over 60 years, cataloguing mysterious sightings and records of strange objects in the sky. Join 'UFO Files at The National Archives', a talk with lecturer Dr David Clarke about some of the more remarkable stories. The event starts at 6pm, tickets are £7.50.

2. See the world’s only improvising opera troupe after dark for 'Muso: Singing Museums to Life' at the Grant Museum of Zoology. Take a turn around the museum at twilight among the bats' wings and pickled moles and treat your ears to some musical performances made up on the spot by Impropera. The evening begins at 7pm, tickets are £8.

3. Watch ’Nailia and the Uprising’, a documentary about a young woman in Gaza caught up in an uprising in the Occupied Palestinian Territories in 1987, showing as part of the Human Rights Watch Film Festival at the Barbican at 6:30pm. Tickets are £12.
