1. For a ninth glorious year Alexandra Palace will be transformed into a German bier hall complete with Bavarian waitresses and oompah band. Head there for Springfest on Good Friday, which will see gallons of fine amber suds and visitors can also grab grub from street food vendors and hit the dance floor where Club De Fromage will be working the decks. The evening starts at 5:30pm and tickets are £17.

2. The humble bar snack has bagged its own festival. The Homerton International Festival of Beer and Bar Snacks will take place over the weekend at the Adam and Eve pub. Go for bites made by Smoking Goat and stay for live music from Nadine Shah. Entry is free.

3. Big and little kids can test their agility at a breakdancing class, or their concentration on a hip hop jigsaw puzzle at Pop Brixton's Free Easter Party on Sunday. Stay to see The Doctor’s Orders take over the decks for a grown-up party on the Pop rooftop. It starts at 12noon and entry is free.
