The ooky, spooky Tim Burton exhibition at The Design Museum has just been given a new lease of life after smashing all attendance records at Kensington exhibition space.

The World of Tim Burton has welcomed 171,000 people through its doors since opening in October 2024, the highest attendance of any show at the museum in its 35 year history.

The adopted Londoner has taken the city to its heart, and London, it seems, has returned the love in spades. Tim Burton says he is ‘blown away’ by the response to the exhibition.

And there’s good news for anyone who has yet to lay eyes on its array of Burton movie props, formative influences and creepy curios – ‘step inside and take a mind-expanding tour of this modern-day goth Expressionist’ is Time Out’s verdict – as the run has just been extended by five additional weeks.

Originally due to close on April 21, it will now close on May 26 – with tickets for these additional dates now on sale from the Design Museum’s website.

Tickets cost between £19.69 and £26.85 for adults, while concessions and student tickets cost £14.77-£20.14 and children cost £9.85-£13.43. Under 6s go free, but tickets must still be booked.

There are also a variety of family tickets available, as well as discounts for National Art Pass members, while Design Museum members go free.

The Design Museum’s Barbie exhibition has also been a smash hit with 144,000 visitors, and will now go on tour.
