You can now see London’s most popular routes for runners, cyclists and swimmers, thanks to some nifty app technology. Online fitness tracker Strava took the GPS activity of its users – almost 3 million runs in 2017 alone – to plot this glowing image of the capital. Take a closer look to see how many people have been legging it around the tracks at Mile End and Parliament Hill, as well as in Victoria Park and along Regent’s Canal. Strava also figured out that Londoners love a running commute more than any other city in the world: proof that we’ll do almost anything to avoid the tube squish.
