1. Deptford X
Mark the final day of this free, sprawling arts festival. Go all out on the last day by joining in with the carnivalesque Parade of Friendly Monsters, which is open to all.

Prepare for a night of proper bangers. The People’s Park is putting on its annual Bonfire Night shindig. This year’s theme revolves around the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, so you can expect it to be out of this world.

3. Day of the Dead Festival
See Camden Market get a proper Día de los Muertos makeover with shrines designed by Mexican artists thanks to the Mexican Embassy. Expect a floating market, children’s crafts and a roaming mariachi band.

4. A Darker Time Escape Room
Do you think you have what it takes to be the next hotshot detective? Budding investigators will work against the clock to seek and solve clues, interview witnesses and gather evidence in this all-immersive experience.

5. Diwali on Trafalgar Square
Shine a light on the annual Diwali festivities in Trafalgar Square because it’s going to be a big ’un. Around 35,000 people are expected to gather to see dance performances, listen to live music and veg out on vegan snacks from the food stalls.
