On March 26, Londoners are invited to participate in ‘Hug Huddle’ at Potters Fields, near Tower Bridge. The free public event is the brainchild of happy-go-lucky artist Stuart Semple, who intends it as an opportunity for everyone to get together and feel each other up. In a nice way. If you’re in need of a little free bodily contact, all you need to do is turn up for 5.30pm and choose a stranger to give your best bear hug to.

The London event runs in tandem with ‘Hug Huddle’ in Denver, where Semple is working on a total of six large-scale public artworks as part of Happy City: Art for the People. The ‘Hug Huddles’ will be live-streamed to Denver and London, plus broadcast online. And if you’re really feeling the love towards your fellow Londoners that afternoon, why not give yourself an extra spray of nice-smelling deodorant?
