Good news, youthful theatre fans! It’s been announced today that there will be £5 tickets available daily for 16 to 25-year-olds wanting to see Sir Ian McKellen’s West End ‘King Lear’.

The production is a transfer from the influential Chichester Festival Theatre, and this offer is an extension of its popular Prologue scheme.

To claim, simply turn up at the box office on the day of the performance with some ID (the earlier the better – the box office opens at 10am and there will probably be queues before that) and voila! If there are any tickets left (the exact number will vary day-to-day) you’ll be able to bag a single ticket to see one of the greatest actors of all time do his thing up close and personal, in one of the greatest plays ever written, for just five English pounds.
‘King Lear’ is at the Duke of York’s Theatre. Until Nov 3.
