Wombats tunes like ‘Let’s Dance to Joy Division’, ‘Kill the Director’ and ‘Moving to New York’ were some of the biggest indie songs of the late noughties – and if you’ve always wanted to hear those hits live, now’s your chance. The Liverpool-formed rockers are in London for a massive gig at Greenwich’s O2 Arena.

The Wombats are currently touring in support of sixth album Oh! The Ocean, which was released last month. Matthew Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis are playing some of the biggest venues in the UK and Europe, and the London date is just the second show on the tour. Better yet, support from equally revered indie titans Everything Everything.

Seeing the trio in action in southeast London this week? Here’s everything you need to know, from timings and a potential setlist to any remaining tickets.

When are The Wombats playing at London’s O2?

The trio’s O2 show is on Wednesday March 19 2025

What are the timings?

Doors open at 6.30pm. Timings haven’t yet been confirmed, but headline acts at the O2 tend to come on at 8.30-9pm. As always, get down early to avoid disappointment.

Curfew is 11pm.

What’s the setlist?

We’ll have a better idea of the setlist once the first tour stop in Nottingham has wrapped up. At the Wombats’ last London gig – a record store tour for Oh! The Ocean at Hackney’s EartH last week – this is what the band played (according to Setlist.fm).

  1. Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want to Come
  2. Can’t Say No
  3. Kate Moss
  4. I Love America and She Hates Me
  5. Moving to New York
  6. If You Ever Leave, I’m Coming With You
  7. Greek Tragedy
  8. Blood On the Hospital Floor
  9. My Head Is Not My Friend
  10. Lemon to a Knife Fight
  11. The World’s Not Out to Get Me, I Am
  12. Turn
  13. Let’s Dance to Joy Division

(Expect a much longer setlist on Wednesday.)

Who is supporting?

Support is from arty indie pop group Everything Everything and Merseyside alt-rockers Red Rum Club.

Can I still get tickets for The Wombats at London’s O2?

You sure can. Some tickets for the Wombats at the O2 can be on AXS here, with most starting from around £40.
