Look out of the window. Isn’t it beautiful out there? Now look back inside, because social media is blowing up with weird and wonderful posts from London’s snowiest day in years. Here are a few of our favourites…

The National Police Air Service helicopter had a front-row seat for the change in the weather.

The view over St Paul’s looked kind of apocalyptic.

There was a pretty chilly perspective from The Shard too.

London quickly began to look like it was directed by Richard Curtis.

Or maybe by Roland Emmerich.

Some brave Londoners quickly adapted to our new way of life.

Others used the wintery conditions to send a message to the universe.

And there was a lot of this sort of thing, obviously.

But sadly nothing to match this guy’s genius moves in France.
