It’s the return of the Macusa. The shock of the Newt. The first look at the second in the JK Rowling-overseen ‘Harry Potter’ spinoffs, ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’. The official teaser trailer has arrived and you can take a closer look below. YouTube-us revelio!

If the first ‘Fantastic Beasts’ had the clammy air of a conspiracy thriller, this one feels more like a spy thriller. It’s a meaty introduction for Jude Law’s young Dumbledore, and a nostalgic trip back to Hogwarts as everyone’s favourite (and probably only) magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is sent to Paris on secret magic business.

From the brief glimpse of him at the tail end, it involves Johnny Depp’s Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald. Gone is the late-era Billy Idol look of the first film, replaced with more of a Stereo MCs vibe. Either way, we suspect those wands being pointed at him aren’t going to restrain him for long.

‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ is out on Nov 16.
