Tickets for the PDC World Darts Championship final at Ally Pally this Friday night (January 3) might have sold out way back in the summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still be part of the action.

For the past two and a half weeks darts icons have been battling for supremacy in north London – and this Friday night two finalists will fight for the title which was last year won by World No. 1 Luke Humphries. Depending on the result of tonight’s semi finals, Friday’s match will either be Chris Dobey or Michael van Gerwen vs Stephen Bunting or Luke Littler, and it will start at 8pm.

There are plenty of places in London screening the big event, from cosy little pubs to big rowdy beer halls – here’s our pick of the best places to get giddy over nine-darters and squeal with joy after every 180. Enjoy our pics from the event and read about why the PDC World Darts Championship is greatest show on Earth

1. Adam & Eve, Homerton

A roomy old Victorian boozer on Homerton High Street, there are plenty of screens at the Adam & Eve, so you’ll always be able to have an eye on the action. Added appeal comes in the shape of their current kitchen pop-up, Greek-Australian kitchen Essi. Fuel yourself for the big night with a saganaki toastie dripping in honey.

2. Big Penny Social, Walthamstow

Walthamstow’s absolutely massive beer hall Big Penny Social is promising all the electric atmosphere and raucous fun of Alexandra Palace on January 3. Also in the spirit of Ally Pally, there’ll be a group fancy dress competition and post-show DJs til late.

1 Priestley Way, E17 6AL

3. Sheephaven Bay, Camden

One of Camden’s best-kept secrets, Sheephaven Bay is a backstreet Irish pub with a seriously sporty inclination. When it’s not showing the footie, rugby, racing, or GAA fixtures, they go hard on the darts.

2 Mornington St, NW1 7QD

4. King’s Head, Tooting

The glorious, Grade II listed King’s Head might be one of the prettiest pubs in south London. It’s also well known for being the area’s best sports boozers. If you think that darts is best enjoyed on nine HD screens in a lavish 19th century gin palace, then this is the place for you this Friday night.

84 Upper Tooting Road, SW17 7PB

5. Belushi’s, Greenwich

Sports bar chain Belushi’s will be showing the final at its Greenwich branch – as well as in Camden, Hammersmith, London Bridge and Shepherd’s Bush. Fill up on burgers, wings and plenty of pints at this rowdy riverside spot.

189 Greenwich High Rd, SE10 8JA
