[title]
Courtesy of the World Cup, London’s streets have been stripped of normality and riotously thrown into beautifully hedonistic booze-fuelled chaos. However, despite the fact it really might be ‘coming home’, the arrival of a world leader is also poised to bring Londoners to the streets...
That’s right, Trump is coming to the U.K. which has prompted ace DJ, Gideön – one half of the duo behind Glastonbury's spectacular Block9 area (previously called 'one of the greatest parties in the world' by us) – to team up with Soho Radio to create the ultimate party protest this Friday.
Whether your banner is at the ready, or you just fancy a boogie, they are encouraging you to join their position in the main Anti-Trump Protest (which will begin outside the BBC building in Portland Place at 2pm Friday and end at Trafalgar Square around 7pm ) for a 12-hour before-after-and-during DJ extravaganza.
The line-up boasts some of the clubbing world's hottest tickets with the likes of Eats Everything, Hannah Holland, Seth Troxler, dance god A Guy Called Gerald, Jackmaster and house heroes Prosumer and Heidi all taking their turn behind the decks (which will be mobile and moving along the parade route from 4-9pm). Worth noting that the whole thing starts and ends at the Soho Radio building, at 22 Great Windmill Street.
Jonny Woo (you’ve probably seen him ruling the roost at The Glory) and our Pride edition cover stars Sink The Pink will also be heading down to join in the fun and perform. If that wasn’t enough, it’s BYOB, so get pissed on the cheap, have a dance and join in.
Follow the party's Facebook page for updates on locations and timings, and find the protest route map here.
