Looking for something Christmassy to do but can’t face the crowds of Oxford Circus and Winter Wonderland? We’ve got you. TfL has released a handy map of festive happenings in Zone 2 and beyond, meaning you can find a wintery event that’s closer to home and avoids the hordes in the city centre. It’s a win-win.

TfL’s new Christmas Tube map shows 19 festive attractions in locations including Croydon, Ealing, Wandsworth and Waltham Forest. On the regular tube map, TfL has added Christmassy events and numbered them corresponding with their nearest station.

They’ve included stuff for kids and adults, with events on the map including Christmas Independent Ceramics Market in Peckham, Wick Wonderland in Hackney Wick and Father Christmas Storytelling in Greenwich.

TfL’s map also highlights festivities in Wandsworth, which has been named the Mayor's London Borough of Culture for 2025. In the south west London borough you can visit the Christmas light switch-on in Southfields, the Tooting Christmas Fair and Glide, London’s only riverside ice-rink at Battersea Power Station.

Justine Simons OBE, Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, said: ‘This December there are a whole host of wonderful events across London and TfL’s new Christmas map highlights some of the hidden gems that are happening outside of Zone 1.

‘From Santa’s grottos to Christmas markets showcasing the best of London’s creatives, there is something for everyone across the capital this festive season. And thanks to the Mayor and TfL, the newly named London Overground lines and Superloop bus routes make it easier than ever to get around, building a better London for everyone.’
