It just keeps getting easier to be vegan in London.

We’ve had vegan tacos, pizza and hot chocolate, and now popular chippie Sutton and Sons in Stoke Newington has created a new meat-free menu that includes vegan ‘fish’ and chips. To make the ‘fish’, they marinade banana blossom in seaweed (for that maritime flavour), then batter it. The chips are, well, chips. Also on the menu are tempura ‘prawns’ (these are made from potato) and there are even battered ‘pork’ sausages that you can smother with onion gravy.

The traditional chippie is still serving its regular menu alongside the new vegan options, so don’t worry, your fish-eating friends can come along too.

The vegan menu is only available at Sutton and Sons in Stoke Newington. 90 Stoke Newington High St, N16 7NY.

Here’s our pick of the best vegan restaurants in London.
