There’s something seriously wonderful about rifling through a crate of cardboard-wrapped vinyls, and music fans all over London agree. That’s why this city is going all out for Record Store Day this Saturday April 12, with parties, gigs, and even a dedicated limited edition beer from hip craft brewery DEYA

Founded back in 2007, this massive international event is all about showing a bit of love for vinyl records and the indie shops that peddle them, and many of London’s 50-odd record stores will be selling limited-edition vinyl records produced especially for the occasion. There are some big names involved, including Charlie xcx & Billie Eilish, Air, Black Sabbath, Tori Amos, and even Taylor Swift, but that ain’t all. Many of London’s record stores will also be laying on live music, DJ sets, free drinks and more to mark the occasion. Here’s where to get into the groove.

London’s top 10 Record Store Day events in 2025

Miraval’s Mystery Vinyl Pop-Up

Inject some excitement into the run-up to RSD courtesy of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s wine brand Miraval. It’s running a mystery vinyl pop-up at The Truman Brewery, which invites punters to pay a fiver to bag a brand-new surprise record, and get their hands on a glass of pink vino into the bargain. Can’t wait til you get home to find out what you reckon? Spin your brand new vinyl in a dedicated listening space, as well as browsing exclusive prints by artist Yinka Ilori, and checking out an acoustic set by vintage-inspired rockers Creeping Jean at 5pm.

The Old Truman Brewery, E1 6QL. Thu Apr 10. £5.

Broadwick Soho x Soho Radio Record Store Day

Uber-glamorous hotel Broadwick Soho pays tribute to its neighbourhood’s rich musical history by hosting regular gigs in its rooftop bar Flute, which is decorated with more gold and swagger than a fairground carousel. So it's no surprise that it's laying on a special event for Record Store Day this year, with indie-soul-pop act Yellow Days performing an afternoon gig, then creating a vinyl which will be pressed and sold on site. It's the start of a new partnership with Soho Radio, which will be supplying DJs to get people dancing after the gig. Email rsvp@broadwicksoho.com to secure your spot.

20 Broadwick St, W1F 8TH. Sat Apr 12. Free.

Music lovers with an SE postcode, assemble: for the third year in a row, Camberwell's Dash The Henge is planning a massive Record Store Day festival to rival SXSW, with a plethora of DJs and bands playing across local venues throughout the weekend. Save yourself the hassle of a trip to Austin by grabbing your ticket here, then head to the shop to pick up your wristband before embarking on a voyage of musical discovery around SE5. The teeming and eclectic line-up features blues rocker LA Salami, old-timey English folksters Goblin Band, and disco party-starter Vanity Fairy, with gigs also taking place at local boozers The Bear and The Old Dispensary. Afterwards, head over to underground dance haven The Greyhound in Peckham for a DJ line-up that’ll keep things going until the small hours.

348 Camberwell New Road, SE5 0RW. Sat Apr 12-Sun Apr 13. £16.95.

Record Store Day at Rough Trade

Vinyl Mecca Rough Trade always goes big for RSD, and 2025 is no different. As usual, it’ll be hosting live music from an eclectic bunch of emerging talents and cult bands across both Rough Trade East and West, plus a record signing at its newly opened Soho store. Head to Brick Lane to catch acts including Birmingham post-punk outfit The Nightingales, German industrial rockers Gewalt and south London-based psychedelic indie singer Sam Akpro, swing by Portobello Road for French indie duo The Limiñanas and soulful indie-pop from Martin Luke Bown, or fish out your dad’s vinyl copy of ‘One Step Beyond’ and make a beeline for Denmark Street, where Suggs and Mike from Madness will be signing records from 1pm. All three stores will be open from 8am so eager crate-diggers can pick up RSD releases before the festivities.

The Old Truman Brewery, E1 6QL /  130 Talbot Road, W11 1JA / 24 Denmark Street, WC2H 8NJ. Sat Apr 12. Free.

Record Store Day at Level Crossing Records and The Bull’s Head

As well as opening its doors at 8am and doling out free coffees to eager vinyl junkies queueing up outside, Richmond’s Level Crossing Records is hosting a gig at nearby jazz venue The Bull’s Head this RSD. Gourmet breakfast butty purveyors Le Swine will also be on hand to keep early birds fuelled up for a busy day of browsing, before they head down the road for live music from 2pm-late, with post-punk duo Scrounge and jazzy hip-hop producer Dargz featured on the genre-hopping line-up. Tickets for the gig are available here.

49 Sheen Lane, SW14 8AB and 373 Lonsdale Road, SW13 9PY. Sat Apr 12. £10.

Record Store Day at Phonica Records

Soho dance music specialist Phonica Records has long been an active participant in RSD, and is known for calling in some high-calibre selectors to soundtrack the annual shindig in its basement party room, which is once again organised in conjunction with electronic music festival Junction 2 this year. As usual, the line-up will remain a secret, but previous years have seen the likes of Skream, Daniel Avery, I.Jordan, Sherelle and Special Request jump on the decks, so you can expect some exciting surprise guests over the marathon 12 hour celebration, where drinks will be supplied by local craft brewery Two Tribes.

51 Poland Street, W1F 7ND. Sat Apr 12. Free.

78 Revolutions Per Minute

Fancy breaking up your browsing with a little history lesson? Head to All is Joy Studios on Dean Street for an insight into Soho’s longstanding relationship with London’s music industry. Historian and BBC broadcaster Alan Dein will be in conversation with Leon Parker, Curator of The British Record Shop Archive at 1pm, before a screening of documentary The Record Store & Black Music: England’s Tastemakers at 3pm. Visitors will also have a chance to take in the Museum of Soho’s display, The Early Music Publishing Industry in the West End of London, embark on a self-guided tour of historic music venues around the area, and take part in kid-friendly workshops to design their own record sleeve. Nab your ticket here

75 Dean Street, W1D 3PU. Sat Apr 12 (exhibition continues until Sat Apr 26). £6.13.

Record Store Day Fundraiser at Third Man Records

Designed by legendary rocker and label head Jack White, Third Man Records’ swish Soho outpost might be the most beautiful record store in the city. As usual it’ll be hosting live music in its tiny, subterranean gig venue The Blue Basement for RSD, with a quadruple bill of live acts headlined by Tennessee songwriter Briston Maroney. There’ll be test pressings and limited-edition vinyl available to buy, plus free cocktails from Botivo and a pedal demo from Big Joanie guitarist Estella Adeyeri. Plus, proceeds from the event are going to All Our Relations, a charity supporting families in crisis in Gaza.

1 Marshall Street, W1F 9BA. Sat Apr 12. £10.

POV Record Store Day

Thirsty after a busy day crate-digging? DJ duo POV are taking over atmospheric Soho pub The Blue Posts for a Record Store Day mini-festival that'll be a celebration of all things vinyl. POV's Parsons and Osceros will assemble a crew of seven DJs who'll dig out their best records to spin house, disco, acid, and rarities from 2pm until closing, giving you plenty of time to swing by alongside touring the several indie record stores nearby.

The Blue Posts, W1F 0QA. Sat Apr 12. Free.

Record Store Day Selector Night at Equal Parts

Atmospheric cocktail bar Equal Parts is known not just for its fabulous cocktails – the tomato water martini is so good it rendered us speechless  – but also for its vintage hi-fi system and collection of rare vinyl, so it’s only right that it’s getting in on the action, hosting a selector night with Colombian DJ Dr Perra for the occasion. Imbibers at the Hackney Road spot will be treated to a set of Latin American sounds ranging from laid-back grooves to high-energy dancefloor vibes. It’s the perfect excuse to get down and sample the bar’s new spring menu.

245 Hackney Road, E2 8NA. Sun Apr 13. Free.
