Pork pie ice cream is coming next week

Next week is British Pie Week, one of the country’s great food-based celebrations. To honour the humble baked good, people and businesses around the country are getting creative and putting their heads together to bake their best examples.

Pieminister, a gourmet pie chain new to Brixton Market, has launched a salty-sweet pork-pie ice cream in a waffle cone ‘pie crust’. Suitably named Pork Pie-Scream, it consists of soft-serve vanilla ice cream with bourbon maple syrup, bacon bits, pork scratching and apple sauce. More of a bacon ice-cream sundae than a pie, you say? Delicious nonetheless, we say. Happy British Pie Week to all.
