Sad news: after opening to great acclaim less than 12 months ago, Winemakers Deptford is shutting the doors of its south-east London neighbourhood restaurant (a spin-off from the Winemakers Club) and moving on to better things.
The team announced the venue’s closure in an Instagram post on February 16. But don’t despair: this isn’t the end. They’re holding onto the site and reopening, likely later in the year, with a new direction.
Hopefully they’ll find a way to reinvent the rustic, sophisticated food menu and delightful natural wine list that locals loved so much. The restaurant was largely responsible for the revival of Deptford’s dining scene and we’d hate to see that all go to waste.
Book in now if you’d like a table for this weekend – seats will likely fill fast.
Find Winemakers Deptford at 209 Deptford High St, SE8 3N. Last day of service is March 4.
