If the start of January has left you pining for the glory days of cheddar-gorging yourself on an hourly basis, then a new homage to fromage should fill the cheeseboard-shaped gap in your heart.
From January 29 to February 6, the world’s first cheese-themed hotel – yes, you read that correctly: a CHEESE. THEMED. HOTEL – is coming to the city, and a handful of lucky folk will be able to stay overnight.
A crackers (ahem) plan dreamt up by Café Rouge, the Cheese Suite will be decked out in cheese-themed bedding, cheese-themed wallpaper, cheese-themed soft furnishings and… well, you get the idea. It’s gonna be very cheesy. What’s more, the room will also be hooked up to a cheese hotline, meaning you can dial for dairy at any hour during your stay.
The experience is free, but guests are encouraged to make a donation to the Prince’s Trust.
