Voting is now open for this year’s Time Out Love London Awards, and we’re asking you to nominate your most loved local venues. But in a city with so much goodness, we know that’s a tricky ask – so we’ve sought inspiration from the Time Out Tastemakers, our super-community of locals with their fingers on the pulse of London. We've asked Duygu Cook – aka @eatnlondon – to choose nine amazing places near her home in Chelsea.
‘My most loved local restaurant is Chicama. I love their ceviche and cocktail menu, and the vegetarian dishes – like broccoli with a coffee dip – are to die for. The outdoor terrace is beautiful too, satisfying my Peruvian food cravings and my Instagram dreams.’
‘My most loved local coffee place is Hagen on King’s Road. I have a thing for small coffee shops and it is probably the hippest coffee shop around here.’
‘My most loved local place to drink in the sun is Bluebird’s terrace, with a glass of rosé preferably.’
‘My most loved local bar is Ritorno. It has the best selection of Italian gins and their aperitivo is wonderful.’
‘My most loved local brunch spot is No. 11 Pimlico Road. I go here for the halloumi burger and stay for the drinks and the ambience.’
‘My most loved local landmark is the Natural History Museum – especially in December when the ice skating rink is out. It’s a real winter wonderland.’
‘My most loved local culture spot is the V&A Museum. Is there a better museum than this? Even sitting in the courtyard when you’re tired of browsing the galleries is an experience. Plus it’s an Instagram dream inside and outside.’
‘My most loved local park is Battersea Park. I go here to walk along the Thames and sit at the café by the pond to people-watch.’
‘My most loved local shop is Dominique Ansel Bakery. You'll find me here picking up armfuls of pastries “for my friends”.’
Now it’s your turn! Vote for your favourite local places in our Love London Awards.
