It’s official: London train staff will be striking on one of the city’s busiest nights of the year. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) who work on the Elizabeth are set to walk out on New Year’s Eve.
The staff that are striking are control room workers, so trains will still be running but delays are likely across the whole network. Here are all the dates and affected stations you need to know ahead of making your NYE plans.
Affected dates
- December 5-18: No working overtime or on rest days
- December 31: Strike for 24 hours from 9pm
Affected stations
All Elizabeth stations from Abbey Wood to Heathrow Terminal 4 will be impacted by potential delays caused by the strikes. As a reminder, these are all the stations served by the Lizzie line.
