Fresh off the news that Liverpool Street is still London’s busiest station, we thought it was only fair to tell you what the capital’s quietest station is too. Because you don’t have to feel like a sardine at every transport hub in the city.

The station in London where you are least likely to find your nose pressed into someone else’s armpit is, drumroll please... Sudbury and Harrow Road. The north London stop, served by Chiltern Railways, has a peak-only service service to Marylebone. From April 2023 to March 2024, only 18,680 passengers passed through the station. Considering Liverpool Street served 94.5 million passengers over the same period, this is quite the puny number.

The second quietest station was Drayton Green with 20,198 passengers over the same 12 months. This station is served by Great Western Railway, and only has services to West Ealing and Greenford. In third place for the least passengers was South Greenford with 38,330 people passing through.

So there you have it, these are the stations you should move close to if you want to have a pain-free commute to work in the morning.
