As of Friday, Lambeth dwellers have a fancy new cinema to call their own. The West Norwood Library & Picturehouse – or ‘WoNoLiPi’, as almost no-one will call it – will offer the ideal haunt for movie-loving bookworms. The old Nettlefold Hall building now boasts four screens and a library that will share all the usual Picturehouse café and bar treats (look out for tasty team-ups with the Feast market and local tipples from Inkspot and Gipsy Hill breweries).

Connor Swindells as Adam Watson in ‘VS.’

But the main screen will be the big attraction: those orange seats are a lovely nod to the screen’s appearance in the Ludovico Technique scene from ‘A Clockwork Orange’. Happily, eye clamps will not be mandatory.

West Norwood Library & Picturehouse opens on Fri Nov 9.
Head to the official site for the full low-down and screening info.
