You know the drill by now. Every weekend TfL plans a whole load of line closures and reduced services, usually for something like planned engineering works, and sometimes for unexpected difficulties. We’ve rounded them all up for you below so you can work out how to get from A to B this weekend.
Next weekend major scheduled disruption will begin across London and last throughout much of the Christmas/New Year period. Before all that, though, here are all the tube closures from December 13-15.
Piccadilly line
There will be no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to difficult track conditions. In recent weeks, the navy blue line has also been hampered by delays caused by train shortages.
Elizabeth line
On Sunday December 15, a reduced service will operate between Paddington and Heathrow / Maidenhead. Six trains an hour will serve Ealing Broadway, Southall and Hayes & Harlington in each direction, four trains an hour will serve Heathrow Terminals 2 & 3, and two trains an hour will serve Heathrow Terminal 4, West Drayton, Langley, Slough, Burnham and Maidenhead. Trains will not call at Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell.
Overground
There are a changes to Clapham Junction to Stratford services on Saturday December 14: Trains at 9.04pm and 10.34pm from Clapham Junction to Stratford, and at 11.19pm from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction will not run.
Then there are changes to Stratford to Clapham Junction / Richmond services on Sunday 15: The 9.08am train from Stratford to Clapham Junction starts from Shepherds Bush at 9.55am; the 9.15am first train from Gospel Oak to Clapham Junction starts from Shepherds Bush at 9.40am; the 9.16am train from Stratford to Richmond will not run; the 9.31am train from Stratford to Willesden Junction will start from Willesden Junction at 10.13am; the 10.26am train from Richmond to Stratford will start from Willesden Junction at 10.43am.
Mildmay line
On Sunday 15, until 9.30am, there’s no service between Willesden Junction and Clapham Junction. Southern services will also not operate between Watford Junction and Clapham Junction at this time. First through trains will be at 9.29am from Clapham Junction to Stratford; 9.40am from Shepherd's Bush to Clapham Junction; 10.03am from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction. An additional train will run from Kensington Olympia to Stratford at 9.26am. Southern Railway services will also not run during this time.
On Sunday 15, from 10.15pm, there’s no service between Camden Road and Stratford. Replacement bus service S will run between Camden Road and Stratford.
Windrush line
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 (including Friday and Saturday night Overground), there’s no service between Highbury & Islington and New Cross Gate / New Cross / Clapham Junction / Battersea Park. Use the Mildmay between Highbury & Islington, Canonbury and Dalston Kingsland. Replacement buses will operate during the day: M from Canada Water to Clapham Junction; X between Dalston Kingsland and New Cross Gate.
DLR
On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15, there’s no service between Bank / Tower Gateway and Poplar / Canary Wharf. West India Quay is served by trains between Lewisham and Stratford.
Northern line
This weekend both Kentish Town and Colindale tube stations will remain closed. However, Colindale reopens on December 20 and Kentish Town on December 23.

For non-TfL services, beware the closure of Liverpool Street, Paddington and King’s Cross stations, and disruption on Thameslink services.
