London tube and train closures this weekend: the full list of travel disruption for February 14-16

Everything you need to know about Piccadilly, Overground and Elizabeth line closures for Valentine’s Day weekend

Got Valentine’s, palentine’s or galentine’s plans this weekend? The last thing you want is unexpected tube disruptions spoiling the fun. 

Unfortunately, we can’t predict all the cancellations and delays that could happen over the weekend, but we can let you know which Transport for London lines will be affected by planned closures. For Valentine’s Day weekend, disrupted services include the Piccadilly line, Elizabeth line and half of the Overground lines. 

So, don’t be late for your date and make sure you plan ahead. Here’s the full rundown of scheduled closures and reduce services that you need to know about for Friday February 14 to Sunday February 16. 

Elizabeth line

On Saturday there’s no Elizabeth line service between Paddington and Abbey Wood / Shenfield. From 12.40am to 7.40am on Sunday, there will be no service between Ealing Broadway and Abbey Road. Replacement buses will be available instead. 

Then from 7.40am, there will be a reduced service between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4/ Maidenhead. Two trains per hour will serve Acton Main Line, Hanwell, Heathrow Terminal 4, Heathrow Terminal 5, West Drayton, Langley, Slough, Burnham and Maidenhead; four trains per hour serve West Ealing and Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3 and there will be six trains an hour serve Ealing Broadway, Southall and Hayes and Harlington. 

Bakerloo 

There’s no Bakerloo service between Queens Park and Harrow and Wealdstone on either Saturday or Sunday.

TfL advises that you use London Northwestern railway services for Harrow and Wealdstone or, on Saturday only, use Southern services for Wembley Central and Harrow and Wealdstone. There will also be a special bus service 718 you can hop on instead. 

Piccadilly 

On both Saturday and Sunday, no Piccadilly trains are running between Acton Town and Uxbridge. You can catch a Metropolitan line train between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge or a replacement bus instead.

Waterloo and City

There’s no service on the Waterloo and City line on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. 

Overground 

Liberty 

From Saturday to Sunday, there are no Liberty line services between Romford and Upminster. 

Lioness

There’ll be no Lioness trains operating between Euston and Watford Junction on Saturday or Sunday. 

TfL suggests that passengers opt for London Northwestern railway services forEuston, Harrow and Wealdstone, Bushey and Watford Junction. On Saturday only, you can use Southern services for Wembley Central and Harrow and Wealdstone and Watford Junction instead. There’s also the 710 special bus service running along the route.  

Mildmay

Mildmay trains are running as normal on Saturday but the 12.14am train from Stratford on Saturday night/ Sunday morning will terminate at Camden Road at 12.37am. 

On Sunday, there will be no Mildmay trains between Camden Road and Stratford. There will be a replacement bus service available instead.

Weaver

There’ll be no Weaver services between Hackney Downs and Chingford after 10.45pm on Sunday.
