What are you getting up to this weekend? The city is your oyster – you can see a film at BFI Flare, chomp on bottomless lasagne, party with FKA Twigs, to name but a few. As long as you’re going out, there’s one thing that’s almost 100 percent certain: you’ll be using public transport.
So, before you go and enjoy your weekend activities, just make sure you know how to get there first. This weekend there are a number of planned closures and reduced services across London’s train network that could make your journey slightly more complicated than normal.
Below you’ll find all the closures and disruptions lined up this weekend. Remember to check your journey before you head out in case of any unexpected changes, too.
Piccadilly
You won’t be able to get Piccadilly line trains between Acton and Uxbridge on either Saturday or Sunday. Replacement buses will be around or you can use Metropolitan line services between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge instead.
Find out more on the next few months of Piccadilly line closures here.
DLR
On Saturday and Sunday, there are no DLR trains between Bank / Tower Gateway / Stratford and Lewisham / Canning Town (via Poplar). TfL suggests you use the replacement buses on offer or Jubilee line connections between Canary Wharf and Canada Water instead.
