How are you spending your four-day Easter weekend? You could watch an enormous recreation of the cruxification in Trafalgar Square, run across the city hunting down chocolate eggs, tuck into a fat roast dinner or party ’til the sun comes up. The options are, quite honestly, endless (take a look at our Easter hub for the best of them).
Whatever you get up to from Good Friday to Easter Monday, the likelihood is, you’ll need take the train at some point. There’s quite a lot of timetable adjustments and tube cancellations happening over the next four days (not to mention potential last-minute delays), so make sure you plan your journey well in advance. These are all the disruptions we now about so far.

London Easter Bank Holiday 2025 tube and train closures
Bakerloo line
Minor delays are expected across the Bakerloo on Good Friday due to train cancellations.
DLR
From Friday to Monday there’ll be no DLR services between Tower Gateway and Shadwell or Westferry / West India Quay and Stratford / Canning Town. Passengers can get the DLR1 replacement bus service between Westferry and Canning Town via Canary Wharf, Blackwall (for Poplar), All Saints and East India instead.
Piccadilly line
On Good Friday through to Easter Monday there will be no Piccadilly trains between Acton Town and Uxbridge. You can use Metropolitan line services between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge or replacement bus PL4 instead.

Waterloo and City
There’s no service on the Waterloo and City line from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
Elizabeth line
Across the whole bank holiday weekend, there’s a reduced Lizzie line service between Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4 / Maidenhead and Acton Main Line, West Ealing and Hanwell stations will all be closed.
London Overground
Windrush line
There will be no Windrush trains on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday between Surrey Quays and Clapham Junction / Battersea Park. A replacement bus will be in operation.
Lioness line
On Saturday, there are several changes to the Lioness line timetable to keep in mind. The 6.52am, 7.37am and 8.07am trains from Kilburn High Road to Watford Junction will instead depart from Willesden Junction at 6.59am, 7.44am and 8.14 respectively. Later on, the 9.22pm and 10.22pm services from Kilburn High Road to Watford Junction will terminate at Willesden Junction at 9.29pm and 10.29pm. There’ll be a reduced timetable between Kilburn High Road and Watford Junction from 10pm onwards.
The same day, there will be no Lioness trains running between Kilburn High Road and Euston. On Easter Sunday, no Lioness services are operating between Euston and Watford Junction.
Then, on Easter Monday, there’s a reduced timetable for trains from Kilburn High Road and Watford Junction, with trains only running every 30 minutes from 7.30pm until midnight. The 5.15am first train from Watford Junction to Kilburn High Road and 5.37am and 6.07am first trains from Kilburn High Road to Watford Junction won’t run.
Also on Easter Monday, there’s no Lioness services between Kilburn High Road and Euston.
Suffragette line
There will be no Suffragette services on Sunday morning between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside until 10am. You can use local bus services, the Victoria line instead, or there are replacement buses operating between Gospel Oak and Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central and Barking.
Then, from 10am, there are no trains between Barking and Barking Riverside. TfL recommends that you used local bus routes EL1, EL2 or EL3 instead.
Mildmay line
The 6.19am Mildmay train from Clapham Junction will start from Gospel Oak at 6.57 on Saturday. Then on Sunday the 9.38am Stratford to Clapham Junction and 9.46 Stratford to Richmond trains both start at Willesden Junction.
On Easter Monday morning, the 5.49am first train from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction won’t run and the 6.05am train from Stratford to Richmond will start from Willesden Junction at 6.48 instead. In the evening, the 11.35pm train from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction is cancelled.
