Due to delivery issues, KFC ran out of bird last week. Seven-hundred-and-fifty of the chain’s 900 UK restaurants shut their doors and the nation entered a state of panic. A few days after depriving good people of fast food, they’ve sorted it out and chicken is back on the menu, but ongoing supply problems mean most KFC outlets are serving a ‘reduced menu’.
Specifically, this means there’s NO GRAVY. We had mixed feelings about the chicken situation (if you’re looking for bird, you could do much better in London), but running out of gravy is just upsetting.
If you simply must eat KFC over the next week, expect a smaller menu in restaurants across the city and BYO brown stuff.
You can do better. Here’s London’s best fried chicken.
We cover all the chicken shortages, sign up to Time Out to hear about them first.
