In pictures: Londoners and their favourite spots in the city

Keep your eyes peeled for some new faces on your tube travels this week. Portraits of Londoners in their favourite city locations will appear on the walls of Aldgate East, Barbican, Canary Wharf, St Paul’s and Walthamstow Central stations as part of Historic England’s ‘I Am London’ series.

Steel band trailblazer Sterling Betancourt appears in Notting Hill and designer Morag Myerscough in her studio, alongside a pearly king, a paramedic, a TfL worker, a teacher and many more. The series is a perfect love letter to the thing that makes this city great: Londoners.
