Last Friday the world united to save the planet.
Children skipped school and employees called in sick to demonstrate on London’s streets. And they were angry.
Why? Because the planet is literally dying. Right now, the Amazon rainforest is burning, the ice caps are melting and toxic air is slowly killing us all.
If that’s not bad enough, the UN estimates that we could have less than 11 years to limit a climate-change catastrophe.
That’s where the kids come in.
In August 2018, 15-year-old environmental activist Greta Thunberg took time off school to demonstrate outside the Swedish parliament. One year on, over 4 million people worldwide joined her crusade and took part in the global climate strike.
Here in London, over 100,000 of you raised your David Attenborough and Paris Hilton placards and joined the resistance.
These are your best bits.
