We’re reaching that time of the year when lights start popping up across London to mark the countdown to Christmas. But if you’re bored of seeing the same standard decorations, then you’re in luck!
Netherlands-based art collective Studio Mieke Meijer have unveiled a brand new light installation in King’s Cross and you’ll be able to view it from today until January 6.
Forget snowflakes or baubles, the giant sculptural lights, otherwise known as Space Frames, can be found dotted around Granary Square and the new Coal Drops Yard. These literal beacons pay homage to the arches and industrial structures around them and are a stunning addition to the London landscape.
So once you’ve snapped a few pictures of the Oxford Street lights (let's be honest, it’s a Christmas rite of passage), hop on the Victoria line and get yourself to King’s Cross to take in Studio Mieke Meijer’s novel take on the festivities.
