Temperatures dropped in London on Sunday. And, despite the freezing weather, so did the pants of certain brave commuters. The London Underground filled with exhibitionists flaunting their knickers for the annual No Trousers Tube Ride.

The event, twinned with the No Pants Subway Ride in New York, launched in 2002. Neither a charity fundraiser nor a political stunt. it’s just a bit of laugh and a chance for city dwellers to feel a breeze around their upper thighs while riding public transport.

It has just two requirements. 1. You are willing to take off your trousers on the tube. 2. You are able to keep a straight face while doing it. Attendees are encouraged to wear normal underwear that doesn’t immediately give the game away that they’re doing a stunt. They are also discouraged from wearing anything that might make other commuters uncomfortable.

The result? A day of fun for the participants and some very awkward photos and social media chat. Enjoy.
