This weekend the music world has been abuzz with speculation, as the Telegraph unleashed rumours that Rihanna could be about to announce both a headline slot at Glastonbury and a series of shows in London this summer.
The rumours come backed up by a ‘well-placed live music source’ and a ‘senior concert industry source’, with the newspaper claiming that concerts are at an ‘advanced planning stage’. Rihanna hasn’t toured since her Anti World Tour in 2016, though she did perform at the Super Bowl in 2023 and played a billionaire’s wedding in 2024.
When rumours fly about massive tour dates, they don’t always come true. Sure, rumours of a Beyoncé residency at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were eventually confirmed, but similar gossip about Adele remains mere speculation. That said, this is the season for big-ticket show announcements – Beyoncé, Drake and Kendrick Lamar and SZA have all announced massive London gigs in recent weeks.
Can’t wait for Rihanna’s next London shows? Here’s everything we know so far, from potential dates to the rumoured venue.
