If, like us, you got majorly obsessed with those massive spotted pumpkins that went on show in London a couple of years back, prepare to go absolutely dotty. Their creator, living avant-garde legend Yayoi Kusama, now has a dedicated exhibition space in Tokyo.

Kusama is rightly loved for those protuberant vegetable sculptures, as well as the ‘infinity’ mirror rooms they’re often presented in. But the range of art here reminds you about her whole colourful career, including specially created new work that proves her creative energy just won’t let up even as she nears her nineties.

The museum sold out its first exhibition, so if you’re up for the pilgrimage, book now for the next one (it opens in April). We wish London had its own full-time Kusama shrine, so we could turn our Insta feeds into a polka-dot paradise once again.
