Week in, week out, Time Out pays homage to London in all its messy, hyper-diverse glory: people, history, music, food, buildings, culture… the works. Now there’s a month-long event series that shares that aim.

Curated by Second Home, the City Life Festival takes place across its workspace sites in Spitalfields and Holland Park, its bookshop Libreria and the Museum of London. It includes discussions about Soho record stores, London fashion, bass music, heartbreak, cultural identity, municipal housing and forgotten women, as well as cross-cultural supper clubs, screenings of the best documentaries about the capital, performances by young London poets and Carnival Queen life drawing.

With Trojan Records, Reggae Roast, Sheffield Doc Fest (and us!) on board, it’s going to make you think, feel and fall in love with the Smoke all over again.
