Earlier this year, Instagram launched IGTV – a new app that lets you upload full, hour-long videos without the time restrictions of Stories or the standard platform.

Now, if you want to learn how to produce something slightly more out of the box than just a 60-minute edit of your doggie (nothing against that, of course), IGTV is putting on its inaugural Academy event: a series of workshops aimed at inspiring attendees to be their most Insta-creative.

Popping up in Shoreditch from Tuesday October 23 to Thursday October 25, the workshops will be focused on sport and music videos. If you’re into the former, you can pick from two events – one hosted by footballer Jack Downer and the other by leading Instagram sports channel Sporf. If you’re more inclined to the latter, meanwhile, you’ll be able to work with Skepta’s video director Matthew Walker to learn the tricks of the trade.

Entrance to all three workshops is free and you can sign up now.

After all, if you’re on it all day anyway, why not learn how to do it well?

Sign up to the IGTV Academy here.

Practise your snapping skills at London’s most Instagrammable spots.
