Beep beep! Here comes another excuse for Londoners not to kick the booze quite yet. An adorable pastel-blue Piaggio van filled with free plonk is wheeling its way around London and it'll be parking up at the South Bank very soon.
From 11.30am until 7pm on the weekends of July 10-11 and July 24-25, the Loire Bucket List Wine Truck will be letting inquisitive mouths sample a range of wine from the Loire Valley, including sparkling crémant, sauvignon blanc and rosé d’anjou. Yes pls.
An expert sommelier will be on hand to tell you all you need to know about the various plonks and the van will also be pulling up at the Taste France stand at Taste of London in Regent's Park from July 14 - 18.
Find the van at Riverside West on the South Bank and then learn more about the Loire London Bucket List, which is made up of four 'discovery routes', a sophisticated, worldly-wise way of saying 'wine crawl'. Each route includes classy things like palaces, parks, picture galleries and fresh water swimming, as well as numerous pubs and bars in which to drink French wine, so you don't feel like a total and utter lush.
