London has officially entered festive mode. Christmas lights have been set aglow, skating rinks have emerged and cosy festive pop-ups have been appearing left, right and centre.

Gather your friends and get out your glitziest outfit — one of the latest winter wonderlands to open is at the bougie 1864 Rooftop Bar and Kitchen at John Lewis Oxford Street.

The bar has introduced a brand new Yuletide-themed menu and been decked out with heated igloos, snug winter blankets and chalet-inspired wooden huts.

With views over Oxford Street’s sparkling row of Christmas lights, each igloo can fit up to eight guests. You can pick from a bunch of seasonal cocktails such as a chocolate orange martini, Grey Goose hot chocolate and a ‘decadent’ mulled wine laced with brandy.

If you’re feeling peckish post-Christmas shopping, the restaurant is also offering a festive set menu that includes Morcilla pigs in blankets, butternut squash and truffle risotto and a chocolate and olive oil mousse with cherry compote.

The igloos can be booked for a minimum spend of £60 per guest. You can reserve one for you and your pals here
