WOMEN OF THE WORLD: Susana Baca

This Afro-Peruvian singer's most recent album, 'Afrodiaspora', was a sort of 'Who Do You Think You Are?' of the music world – a gorgeous ethnomusicological journey in which her smooth voice soars through centuries and continents exploring the pervasive African influence on Latin American music and culture. She performs from it here as part of the 'Women of the World' festival.
