Vijay Iyer Trio

Acclaimed Indian-American pianist Iyer has created a unique harmonic and rhythmic approach to his playing that draws on Indian polyrhythms and intricately woven melodies. Here for two nights, he'll be playing music from his brand new album 'Accelerando' that heads directly into the trend for skewed, jazz takes on pop and electronica tunes by Michael Jackson and Flying Lotus, with bubbling and brilliant results. The killer trio includes bassist Stephen Crump and drummer Marcus Gilmore.
