One of the world's most enthralling live acts, Tinariwen are an 11-strong band of Tuaregs from the Sahara who perform in their traditional robes, sing mostly in French and Tamashek and use electric guitars to play exciting, mesmeric and intoxicating desert blues. They've sparked a renewed interest in Saharan music, and in other bands from Mali such as Tamikrest.
