Taking their name from the nickname they were given when they started singing on their local Teeside folk scene a decade ago, this young male a cappella trio sing working songs and traditionals as well as original but historically-inpsired compositions (such as 'The Battle of Stockton', about the expelling of Oswald Mosley's Blackshirts in 1933). The stars seem to be aligning for them – they were taken on Anais Mitchell's recent tour, contributed a song to Aardman film 'The Itch of the Golden Nit', and released September's 'When Our Grandfathers Said No' on Bellowhead and Lau's label Navigator.
