The Pyramids

Supremely rare UK appearance by this legendary Afro-psychedelic crew who first formed in 1972 at Ohio's Antioch college, a radical cultural hotbed at the time. Saxophonist Idris Ackamoor, flautist Margo Simmons and bassist Kimathi Asante went on to work alongside the likes of Albert Ayler, Cecil Taylor and Sonny Sharrock and retain their radical, trippy template of sonic and rhythmic freedom today.
