Usually the favourite for Ed Banger DJs and fun electro-techno jocks, The Playground represents a very different end of the electronic music spectrum tonight with a huge dubstep showcase. This is future dubstep of another nature, however: massive in the USA, acts like Borgore (and Skrillex, though he's not appearing) mix up horror imagery and skull-crushing wobbly basslines to terrifying effect that's perfect for the moshpit rather than the dancefloor. But naturally, the kids love it, and he's headlining joined by Circus Records' head honchos Doctor P and Flux Pavillion (fresh off their own gargantuan US tour) and rising names like Bare Noize, Cookie Monsta, Funtcase and Run Riddum. Brace yourselves… [NB: There's an after-party till 12noon at the Den & Centro in WC1 for £7.50 with your Koko ticket).
